For more than half a century NASCAR has captured people's interest with their swift and unpredictable races. Every year hundreds of people queue up to buy NASCAR TIX. Here is a look at some of the most prominent drivers in the sport who lead NASCAR tickets selling into frenzy over the years.

Richard petty

The legend is far out ahead of everyone when it comes to race victories, and is tied first for the most championship victories with Dale Earnhardt sr. Richard was the first driver to win 3 world titles and went on to amass 4 more in a career that lasted 35 years. He ended up with exactly 200 race victories from 1184 races, a record that is likely to stand for many more years to come.

Dale Earnhardt Sr.

Born in North Carolina in'51 to erstwhile racer Ralph Earnhardt, Dale showed a lot of promise early on. He made his entry on the race track in'75, but it wasn't until'79 that he drove his first full season in NASCAR. He won his first Winston cup in only his second season, and went on to win 6 more. His prolific career sadly ended on the track when he died while racing in 2001. He was one of the biggest crowd pullers in his days, with his intimidating driving style driving people crazy trying to get their hands on NASCAR TIX.

David Gene Pearson

Pearson stands at second position on in terms of race victories in NASCAR, Behind Richard Petty at 105 wins. He popularly came to be known as the silver fox in his time and is best remembered for his many duels on the track with Petty. In a fourteen year period the two of them finished 1-2 on 63 different occasions, with Pearson outpacing his favored competitor 33 times. He won the sprint cup three times in his career and was inducted in the motor sports hall of fame in'90.

Jeff Gordon

Gordon won his first sprint cup after a stiff battle with Dale Earnhardt, the defending champion in'95. He went on to amass three more titles and stands at 3rd in all time lists, and went on to become the first driver to amass $100 million in winnings.

Jimmie Johnson

He is a three time defending sprint cup champion, and looks set to take his 4th with 4 races to go in the current season. On first sight, Jimmie Johnson comes out to be a driver who has achieved a lot, but when you look into this 34 year old's celebrated talent, you realise there is so much more that he can achieve. He has got 46 race victories to his name and is only the second driver after Cale Yarborough to win three titles on the trot.
